Can one daytrip to Newlyn from London? Print E-mail
Thursday, 17 August 2006
Q. I am an American visiting London. I would like to make a daytrip to Newlyn, but am having trouble finding a bus or rail to take me. Would you help me?

A. I am afraid a day trip from London might not be a realistic option as is takes up to 7 hours by train to get from Paddington station to Penzance (it takes ever longer by bus). There is no alternative aside from flying to Newquay and then travel to Newlyn (allow at least one hour by car). When travelling to Newlyn you should allow a minimum of three days: one to get here, one to see the village and surrounding, one to get back.
