Visiting the Newlyn Fish Market Print E-mail
Thursday, 17 August 2006
Q. I am really interested in visiting the Newlyn Fish Market. I am unsure which days and what time it is open and would be extremely grateful if you could email me this information.

A. Unfortunately members of the public are not allowed in to the fish market due to health and safety regulations. However you are welcome to walk around the port, watch incoming trawlers hauling up their catch and observe the general activity taking place. If you have specific reason for visiting the market (as a journalist or researcher) you could contact Andrew Munson, the Newlyn Harbour Master on 01736 362523 - to obtain permission.
