Q. An end of an era is nigh. Eddys the bakers are about to close for ever. This news will sadden all Newlyners from far and wide. It seems that although the business was for sale, a suitable buyer could not be found so all the effects are to be auctioned. A sad day indeed............
A. I agree, a sad day indeed. Many years ago living in Mousehole I would come over to Newlyn especially to get Eddys pasties and saffron cake. Now living in Newlyn how will I find granary and rye bread as good? The end of an era. Best wishes go to David, on a happier note I hope this means that he is going to do more painting and shall look forward to an exhibition of his work.
