Q. Hello, i am a student at Falmouth College of Arts and I am looking at the history of Crysede. Is there any where that would have any infomation about this eg photos, hisoric records anything would help.
A. There are two books, both by Hazel Berriman, which you would find helpful.
Arts and Crafts in Newlyn, published by Newlyn Orion in 1986, and,
Crysede - the unique textile designs of Alec Walker, published by the Royal Cornwall Museum in 1993.
The Penlee Gallery and Museum at Penzance has some archive material and should be able to direct you to other sources. The V & A has a collection of samples of fabric designs by Alec Walker.
