New website for Duchy Fish Quota Company Print E-mail
Thursday, 11 August 2005

The Duchy Fish Quota Company (DFQC) has this week gone live with its new website at www.duchyfishquota.co.uk. The DFQC was established as a not-for-profit company in 2000, with the aim of keeping fishing quotas in Cornwall and thereby ensuring a future for generations of Cornish fishermen.

The website, designed by Gabriella Nonino of Sandswimmer.net, explains the company's aims and fundraising objectives, as well as advertising the well sought after Duchy Fish merchandise, including calendars, T-shirts and sweatshirts.

The website will also give details of events with which the company is involved. Forthcoming events include Looe Trawler Race on 13th August, Newlyn Fish Festival on 29th August where DFQC will be launching the new 2006 calendar and Newquay Fish Festival from 16th - 18th September.

The new calendar for 2006, to be launched at the Newlyn Fish Festival, will be a celebration of Cornish seafood, restaurants and chefs. The calendar will include delicious recipes made from fresh Cornish fish. Each recipe has been designed by one of Cornwall's best chefs residing at the best Cornish restaurants.

Each month is dedicated to a different fish species that will be in season and therefore readily available to the consumer that month. The mouth watering recipes can also be sampled at the restaurants featured in the calendar. The calendar will cost £5.
