The Newlyn Raft Race returns to it's full swing this year with the actual event taking place at 2pm. Twenty or so rafts are set to compete with one another and stalls, fun fair and barbeques are place along Newlyn Green to entertain the crowds.

The Raft Race is held to raise money (£3000 +) towards the Newlyn Harbour Lights and fireworks display set up by a team of 12 hardy volunteers for the Christmas period in Newlyn every year.
