Curious Nature - 26 April to 18 June

An exhibition of drawings, paintings and photographs, Curious Nature presents work by artists who look at the natural world from an unusual perspective.

Curated by Lucy Day and Eliza Gluckman, the selected work presents the beautiful  and the bizarre in diverse media, discovering the unexpected in landscape and nature.

Helena Goldwater creates her own botanical studies, exquisitely rendered in watercolour paint, Nadege Meriau explores the surreal
nature of plants simply through the direction of her lens and both Leonora Chan and Melanie Stidolph use photography to give
us a new angle on the familia.

Andy Harper uses paint to physically build dense foliage, while John Timberlake paints similarly disturbing scenes; painting and drawing over photographs to create layered landscapes.

This is a great effort by the gallery team and is by far the best NSA exhibition I remember seeing. Congratulations to all those involved.
