Allan and Mary Owen, who own The Smugglers Restaurant in Newlyn, are holding
a fish supper night on Sunday, August 31, in aid of Newlyn Harbour Lights.
At a cost of £15 per person, 40 customers will be able to enjoy
a three course dinner and a glass of wine and then listen to entertaining
Cornish yarns and fishy tales from Newlyn fish merchant Robin Turner.
On the menu is likely to be the ever popular Smugglers fish soup, followed
by a trio of Cornish fish, and for pudding, probably a chocolate torte
or apple crumble.
There will also be meat and vegetarian alternatives.
The evening starts at 7 pm and those wanting tickets should ring 01736
