Newlyn Trinity Methodist Chapel will find out if it
is to receive a cash windfall when the BBC's Restoration Village
programme reaches its climax at the weekend. Campaigners are hoping to
beat off the challenge from seven other finalists to win funding to
transform the empty chapel into a heritage centre recording the history
of the village.
The project will be featured on a programme being screened on BBC2 tomorrow night, at 9pm.
Voting lines open on Friday morning and close on Sunday evening when the winner will be announced.
To register your vote ring 09013 600 500; calls cost £1 from BT landlines.
A coach-load of supporters from Newlyn will be going up to the Weald
& Downland Open Air Museum near Chichester on Sunday for the live grand final.
