“Oh! sweet friends,
hearken to me.” If you like your Crab soup made as God intended go no
further than the Red Lion in Newlyn.
Made of local succulent Newlyn crab meat flakes, fish stock, white
wine, onions and touch of tomato, this soup is the finest Crab soup you will
probably ever taste. Prepared fresh every day it’s served with two slices of French
bread fried in olive oil and garlic. Wash down with a pint of Cornish Ale.
The Red Lion is a proper no fuss pub with great views on Newlyn harbour
from it's front windows; there is no need to reserve a table (but if
you really want to you
can call the Red Lion on 01736 362012.) N.B. Their Fish Soup is an
equally impressive treat. Enjoy!
