Newlyn-based St Peter's Players' production on March 22 to 24 will be
Wolfsbane by Georgina Reid, and directed by Cathy Kay.The play is about
a sculptress and hopeless housekeeper, Joan Meredith, who has forgotten
she has engaged a new housekeeper for her family. It is on the new
housekeeper's arrival that precipitates a series of sinister events.
After
just a short time, of the housekeeper and her daughter's arrival,
everyone starts to experience a series of sinister events.
The evening's entertainment will keep you guessing right up to the end, St Peter's Players whodunnit.
It
will be the first time that Cathy Kay has directed, and she is by no
means new to the stage as she has been involved with amateur theatre
for over 25 years.
Cathy has gained experience through her
acting and being directed by not only those on the amateur stage but
also has had experience of working with professional directors,
especially when she was involved with the Ordinalia Company.
Wolfsbane
has always been a play that Cathy has wanted to direct ever since she
saw it when it was put on by Mylor Players over 20 years ago, two years
after it was written, as far as we know it has not been put on in
Cornwall since then.
Tickets are available from Supercards, 59 Causeway Head, Penzance and The Pharmacy, The Strand, Newlyn. Adults £4, Children £2.
