Not that we know many old fishermen, but I have just recognised him from the photo and this is the chap who was wearing a pirate hat on Fish Festival day giving his own lecture on life and fishing like a true thespian. Very endearing man and his voice has an odd posh undertones so perhaps there is another story here to be told and that he's not telling us..... Love his dog leads, what a remarcable man!

He's good as salwater - we met him a few weeks ago and he was mending his nets, talking politics and whatsit. We bought a doglead despite not having a dog because of the knotwork and seeing him at work made our day in Newlyn.
