Newlyn Fish Festival of the Arts 12th 13th 14th October calling all artists, musicians, writers, dancers perfomers, photographers, craftspeople, creative people in all media, living or working in Newlyn for a chance to show what we do, in venues all around Newlyn contact Susannah 333846 and keep an eye and an ear open for what's in the air.

Submissions invited for art exhibitions:

There will be exhibitions of paint/print/drawings, of sculpture and of photography during the Arts Festival.

Paint/print/drawings: at The Centre, Chywoone Hill ONE excellent recent piece per artist now living or working in Newlyn, ready to hang, together with a sheet of information about the artist.
You must register your intention to bring a piece with Susannah 333846 by Friday 5th October.

Sculpture and ceramics: at Tolcarne Motors car showroom (Saturday pm and Sunday only). Please register your intention to bring a piece with Diana Dixon 333180 by Friday 5th October. 

Photography: at the Mission. Please contact the photography co-ordinator: Maggie on 350526.


THE SUBMISSION FOR SUBMITTING POEMS IS NOW CLOSED!

We are now looking for 6-10 salient washing lines, visible from the street in Newlyn, to hang the sheets (containing a selection of poems) from.
Also, volunteers to steward, especially on the Old Quay and at Gwavas Playing Field on Saturday, and the Old Quay and St. Peter's on Sunday. And to encourage people to tramp up the Coombe to Trereife Sunday afternoon, to hear the poets.
