Shelterbox in NepalA show of postcard paintings, prints, jewellery, and ceramics will feature in the Christmas show of Newlyn's Badcocks Gallery.

And the sale of work by artists including Alice Mumford, Jeremy Le Grice, Kristin Vestgard, Marilyn Browning, Shelagh Spear, Marie Claire Hamon and Elaine Pamphilon will help benefit the charity Shelterbox, with a percentage of all sales being donated to the hardworking Helston charity.

Currently the charity is appealing for funds to support the people of Bangladesh who recently suffered a catastrophic typhoon.

Badcocks will be displaying a selection of the contents of a typical Shelterbox, their Christmas cards, plus more information about the charity.

And tonight (Thursday) from 6-8pm at the launch of the 'Christmas at Badocks' show, you can enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie or two, buy a little treasure, donate to and learn more about Shelterbox while enjoying some festive cheer.

All works in the exhibition were placed on the website, www.badcocksgallery.co.uk on Tuesday.
