The granted application relates to 'Phase1' of the redevelopment of Newlyn Fish Market to provide a new building for the fish market it self, including office and public viewing spaces, along with ancillary buildings for processing and retailing. The economic and regeneration benefits for both the fishing industry and Newlyn have been considered more than sufficient to justify granting planning permisssion.

Best news in years! I always wondered if Newlyn was going to go down the same route as Hayle with its endless consultations and empty promises. Looks like this is not the case now and that Newlyners will raise a glass of bubbly to this splendid achievement, I know I will!

Absolutely brilliant news. I hope this project brings much prosperity to the true folk of Newlyn. Also a future for the next generation of youngsters. Loads of luck and best wishes.
