NEWLYN Archive Group is hosting an open day of memorabilia, photographs, films and activities about Newlyn on Saturday at the Centre , Chywoone Hill.

There will be photographic displays and activities on topics such as Newlyn Schools between 1920 and 1950, Newlyn at War, Fishwives of Newlyn, Models of the Newlyn School, and Newlyn Family Photographs.

There is also a film about Newlyn people today and videos, slide shows and some original paintings of Newlyn people that will be showing during the day.

The event is part of the Newlyn Seaside Voices event and organisers hope visitors knowledge will add to the information they hold in the archive.

Visitors are also asked to bring their own photos and information for them to scan.
