CELEBRITY chef Rick Stein is to open Newlyn Fish Festival this year.
August Bank Holiday Monday will see the 20th anniversary of the event which promises to be the biggest and best of its kind in the country.
"We're already off to a fantastic start with Rick Stein opening it," festival secretary Steve Ryman boasted.
"Rick has done more than anyone else to reawaken our appreciation of seafood and he is also vice-patron of the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen so we are delighted and honoured to have him back at our annual celebration of the sea, seafood and the Cornish fishing industry."
Also returning will be Pete Goss with his lugger "Spirit of Mystery" after his epic journey to Australia last year and last year's star chef Sanjay Kumar from the Greenbank Hotel in Falmouth.
There will also be great music, harbour entertainment, gig racing, lifeboats, arts, crafts, charities, plenty of food and cooking demonstrations.
Anyone interested in having a stall or participating in any way, is asked to email info@newlynfishfestival.org.uk, visit www.newlynfishfestival.org.uk or phone Steve Ryman on 07518 603955.
