Regeneration: Newlyn and Wherrytown

NEWLYN and WHERRYTOWN THE new fish market offers the potential for new business units to be provided through Convergence funding. However there is a pressing need to improve traffic access and parking in Newlyn.

Key issues include: Reducing traffic on the coast road; Improving the junction with the A30 at the top of The Coombe; Connecting Newlyn with the wider Mounts Bay area and particularly Penzance Promenade. The Prom could be the focus for new public and leisure activities, cafés, storage for deck chairs and an information booth at Wherrytown.
