Hair salon training in the offing at Newlyn
A STATE-OF-THE-ART hair salon in Newlyn is now up and running.
And budding hairdressers will soon the get the chance to learn from experienced staff at Harbour Hair as they look to expand.
The family-run firm, which recently moved into new premises on New Road, hopes to start training a new generation in the near future.
Owner Donald Gregor, who has been trimming tresses for 35 years in London and Australia, told The Cornishman he hopes the firm can continue to go from strength to strength.
He aims to offer more jobs so that new staff can be trained at the salon.
He said the sunny premises in Newlyn have their own advantage, meaning "clients and stylists have a clear perception of colour and style – what you see is literally what you get".
His workers all value the opportunity to learn from him, Mr Gregor added.
"The staff always take great pride in what they do.
"The client really does come first here – every service here is tailored to the individual.
