A sailor had a lucky escape after he tripped and fell between the harbour and his boat following a night out. Emergency services were called to Newlyn Harbour at 7.50pm on Sunday to rescue the man, who is thought to have been visiting the port from Brixham. A Falmouth Coastguard spokesman said the man was spotted after he fell and then pulled from the water and taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. "He was very lucky to have been seen and rescued," said the spokesman.
