PUBLIC CONCERNS over swans at Hayle were left "high and dry" after a Millpond clearance led to three muddy birds being rescued.
The three swans seemed undeterred by the fact all the water had been drained away at the beginning of last week.
But Cornwall's RSPCA was contacted by a number of concerned local people when the swan's feathers became so caked in mud they could not preen and were becoming distressed.
The swans were cleaned up and eventually sent to a refilled pond.
