RESIDENTS in Newlyn can now see a doctor almost on their doorstep with the launch of a new surgery in the port.
The Alverton Practice in Penzance is opening a satellite surgery, offering extended hours four days a week for patients as well as a range of services from blood tests to minor surgery.The premises at 3 New Road have been refurbished to provide full disabled access along with four consultation rooms and office space.
The new surgery will be officially opened on Monday at 6pm, when members of the public are welcome to check it out until 8pm.
GP Richard Cheyne thanked Chris Thompson Design Services and Edward Dodd Building Ltd. He also praised nurse partner Tracey Hemborough for her "tireless" work.
