THE AUGUST Bank Holiday has long been the day into which the huge variety of entertainment on offer at the fish festival has been crammed.
But with bumper gates pushing the capacity to the limit in recent years, organisers have decided to open up the whole weekend.
Dubbed the Weekend of Sail – a fleet of luggers will be moored in the Old Harbour, where there will be plenty of traditional music and food over both days.
On Sunday the annual Newlyn raft race will also take place.
