A HISTORIC 19th century chapel near Newlyn is looking to promote itself as an ideal wedding venue.
Tredavoe Chapel is situated in the hamlet community by the same name nestling above Newlyn.
There are references to Tredavoe in the National Archives as early as 1696 and the surrounding land is still farmed with cows, sheep and crops.
The chapel has a traditional, intimate atmosphere and holds a maximum of 60 people. The adjacent building, a former school room, now serves as a village hall and is also available for private functions.
The Tredavoe Chapel & Village School Room Trust is a registered charity, which manages these facilities on behalf of the people of Tredavoe.
