A TEACHER with 25 years' experience has launched a new career and business as a mobile beautician. Denise Lawry has started Newlyn Beauty, or "Tekter Lulyn" after becoming a member of the Guild of Beauty Therapists through studies at Penwith College. She is now working throughout Penwith, offering a range of at-home beauty treatments.
The 49-year-old said she believes a person's quality of life and wellbeing could be positively influenced by how they looked. She said: "As people lead such busy lives now it is important to provide a service whereby clients can relax and enjoy some quality time right from the start. "One lady told me that it was great not to have to get dressed up, nor to rush into town and face the hassle of finding a parking space. This convenience is at the heart of the service I aim to provide." Denise added she intends to return to Penwith College next year to add further skills in complementary massage therapies.
