SCADS group £1,000 for Mission

The local Advisory Committee of the Fishermen's Mission has expressed thanks for the donation of £1,000 from an amateur dramatics groups based in Rosudgeon.

Gwinear Show, the first main agricultural event of the year in Cornwall, will be held on Saturday, from 9am. Simon Jones, assistant superintendent in charge of the Newlyn Mission, said of the donation from the SCADS group: "The money will be used locally to support fishermen and their families.

"It is local support like this that is so valuable to the work of the this mission and I am keen to express a vote of thanks on behalf of the Advisory Committee for this kind donation."
