Newlyn will show its true colours this Autumn with
its first ever festival of arts in October.Organisers say the

musicians and artists will be invited to perform and anyone who enjoys
writing, music, singing, dancing, acting or visual arts, including
photography, film and sculpture, is being asked to lend their skills to
the three day event expected to take place on October 12, 13 and 14.lage the chance to "show off a

Organisers
would also like to hear from writers' groups who would be willing to
set up and oversee a participatory poetry project, and also from
singers and choirs.
Ideas for self-funding events are being sought.
Susannah
Clemence, arts festival spokesperson, said three or four "key
happenings" were being planned and groups and individuals could run
their own events at the same time.
"The focus is fun, rather than fundraising," she said.
