The company said, however, that an
investigation had revealed that the proposed lift bridge would require
a redirection of the main sewer to Mousehole.
A company spokesperson said there was confidence that a satisfactory engineering solution could be found.

England, chief planning officer at Penwith District Council, said the
developer is responsible for costs incurred with connecting a housing
development to a sewer.
Marina Development Ltd (MDL) wants to develop a glittering marina complex with a five star hotel and 200 apartments and houses.
A planning application is expected to be lodged in the near future.
Edward Illiffe, MDL's managing director, dismissed fears that were relayed in a recent letter to The Cornishman.
A correspondent suggested the marina plan was a "carrot" to develop the quarry for housing.
"We are a marina development company," he said.
"The housing is being done to fund the marina, not the other way around."
