Date set for Newlyn festival

NEWLYN Fish Festival is the largest of its kind in Britain and this year it will take place on August 30, Bank Holiday Monday.

The festival raises money for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen and this year will be the 20th and the organisers are aiming to make it the best yet with seafood, cooking demonstrations, children's workshops, fish auctions, open vessels, craft, art and trade stalls.

There will also be a full programme of music and harbour entertainment including gig racing, rescue helicopters, the Penlee lifeboat, great music, celebrities and much more.
